As a patient oriented and education focused clinic, your visit can take some time. Please expect to be here for an extra 20-40 minutes after your doctor’s appointment to explore our exhibits and receive education and guidance from our Cannabis Educators.
Please be advised: Some patients require more time and care than anticipated. While we do our best to account for such patients, sometimes ensuring everyone receives appropriate care can take longer than expected, and as such, despite our best efforts, we sometimes run behind schedule. When such delays happen, your Harvest Medicine experience from start to finish could take up to 90 minutes. We know and respect your time is valuable and do try our best to avoid delays whenever possible.
To help speed up the process, please have your questionnaires filled out before you arrive and arrive on time. If you are unable to complete your questionnaire before hand, please arrive early so you have time to complete it on one of our iPad’s before your doctor visit. Patients who arrive late will be seen as the schedule permits.
Check in at the front desk
At the front desk, one of our Medical Office Assistants will confirm all of your information, so that your cannabis can be delivered to you without issue. You’ll need your Alberta Health Care card, as well as photo ID. Before your appointment, you’ll have been sent an online questionnaire to answer. If you didn’t get a chance before your appointment, we’ll give you a chance to do it at the clinic before you see the doctor.
See the doctor
Once it’s your turn, one of our experienced physicians will meet with you to discuss what types of cannabis are best for your approved conditions, and answer any questions you may have.
Talk to a Cannabis Educators
After you see a doctor, you’ll be guided to sit down with a Cannabis Educators. The role of our Cannabis Educatorses is to recommend licensed producer(s), strains, dosages, and intake methods. Our Cannabis Educatorses spend as much or as little time with patients as is needed, making sure it’s an enjoyable and educational process.
Patients today have many Licensed Producers of Medical Cannabis to pick from. This is handy as you can pick a provider that is best for you and your treatment plan.
The producers of Cannabis we work with all have their products go through rigorous 3rd party testing to ensure that safe, top quality product is available to our patients.
While all the LP’s we work with are fantastic, product type (Oils, Pills or dried flower), strain selection (Indica vs Sativa), product price, and even shipping are all factors that influence which LP is right for you. Our friendly and knowledgeable Cannabis Educators’ are there to help. They will help you narrow down your options based on the factors that are most relevant to your individual situation and help you find a LP and products that are right for you.

Place an order, and wait for your cannabis
It takes roughly 2-5 days for your registration to be completed (don’t worry, we’ll do all the paperwork). You’ll get a call or email giving you login instructions. From there, you can order your cannabis, legally, just like you would anything else online.
Receive your cannabis, and come in for a follow up
Regulations regarding medical cannabis use require patients to come in for follow up visits every 3 months. Your medical document is valid for 1 year but may be cancelled if you do not show up to follow up visits. Check our FAQ and Blog for more resources.
