Blueberry is an Indica dominant strain, well known for it’s potent effects and incredible smell and flavour. Originally bred by DJ Short, it’s commonly claimed that the genetic lineage of the Blueberry involves a 3-way cross between Afghani, Thai, and Purple Thai. A phenotype of Blueberry won top marks in the 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup for “Best Indica” and “Best Strain” overall.

Physical Description:
This particular phenotype of Blueberry is very dense and absolutely coated in cannabinoids from top to bottom. Every nook and cranny of the bud shimmers in thick milky white trichomes, truly making this flower sparkle! The underside of the buds have mint cream color to them, with the top-side of the buds having a fern green color; however, this darker fern green is majorly subdued by the overwhelming amount of crystals covering it. To complement this shining flower are the utmost subtle periwinkle and blue hues to the tips of some of the buds, which truly makes this a dazzling strain.
What does it smell like?:
Blueberry will not disappoint on both smell and flavor categories. It has a truly decadent smell to it, with the sweet aroma of blueberry and vanilla reminiscent of Grandma’s fresh baked blueberry pie. There are some incredibly subtle undertones of earthy sweetgrass, possibly even a bit of a diesel aroma; but this strain mainly projects the smell of sweet berries.
What does it taste like?
As mentioned above, the flavor of Blueberry certainly does not disappoint. Although not as potent as the smell profile, the taste is still unbelievably mouthwatering with sweet flavors of fresh berries and sweet vanilla. The earthy undertones that can also be distinguished (generally upon exhale) still offer a sweetness to them, reminiscent of sweetgrass.

The Blueberry is an Indica dominant strain, with effects to match. Once consumed the Blueberry washes over the consumer, removing stress, aches and pains. These relaxing effects produce a long-lasting and uplifting effect that help make the user feel calm and at ease. Eventually, if this strain doesn’t first put you to sleep, will deliver strong appetite stimulating effects making you want to “go-to-town” on your snack shelf in the pantry. Eventually this strain will sedate the user with a journey to dreamland. We have consumed this strain through a number of methods including: a water-pipe, joint and portable-vaporizer unit; all of which worked well. However, to truly appreciate the delicious flavors this strain has to offer it should be consumed through a vaporizer.
