Physical Description:
Floating Island can be categorized by its small, clustered buds. The leaves on this cultivar are an assortment of light and dark greens creating a sharp contrast against the abundant, turmeric-orange pistils on this herb. Notably, Floating Island is covered with an impressive resin coat wrapped around the surface. The trichomes lend subtle hues of yellow to the flower’s overall color as light reflects off the surface.
What does it smell like:
Unsealing a fresh container will release a sharp diesel and herbal odor. Allowing the initial scents to settle yields an invigorating earthy, kush-like fragrance. It should be noted that the pungent diesel profile of this cultivar does linger after vaporization without proper ventilation.
What does it taste like:
As expected from its olfactory profile, the taste of Floating Island is pungent and contains a fair number of earthy flavors. Upon inhale, a detectable pepper and pine blend settles on the back of your palate. With each exhale, you will taste an earthy, diesel-like aroma that quickly yields a more dominant, herbal tone. Overall, Floating Island would be recommended for patients who prefer traditional kush and diesel notes to their medication. Floating Island does leave a slight herbal aftertaste following consumption.
*Use and Effects:
During testing our reviewer reported an impressively rapid onset, providing uplifting and stress-relieving effects. These effects were surprisingly pronounced especially considering the mid-level THC nature of this flower. The experience begins with a relaxation and calmness of mind. This is followed by gentle, body-focused effects, potentially useful for reducing soreness following physical exertion. Floating Island also has strong calming properties that act as a good anxiolytic. Shortly after consumption, our reviewer reported reduced anxiety followed by relaxing qualities useful for inducing sleep. Overall, Floating Island is a pleasant hybrid as its sedative qualities are not pronounced enough to cause insurmountable sedation. Instead, our reviewer found this strain provides a calming energy that could be beneficial for increasing focus, especially at lower doses.
